The tests in this booklet are progress tests. The purpose of progress tests is to build the students' confidence and sense of progress. The tests are not intended to identify errors and indicate failure. The value of the tests comes from showing students that they are learning and making progress. This booklet contains two types of test, Use of English Tests which focus on grammar and vocabulary and Skills Tests which focus on receptive and productive skills.
