The unthinkable has happened: Bruce Wayne is no longer Batman.

Because of a devastating encounter with Bane that left him unable to don his Batsuit, Bruce begins an urgent quest to locate the missing physical therapist who worked closely with him during his rehabilitation. Shondra Kinsolving possesses unique psychic powers, and she may be the only person on Earth qualified to mend Bruces broken spine. With his trusted valet, Alfred, in tow, Bruce travels to the Caribbean and then to Great Britain desperately searching for Shondra. Instead of finding ameliorative relief, the pair discover a new and surprising foe lurking in the shadows. To save Shondra and himself, Bruce is forced to push himself mentally and physically before its too late.
